2016 Australia Day Award WINNER nomination

Almost one month into 2016 and today, I hope you have had the chance to celebrate Australia Day!

Congratulations to the official winners of the Australia Day Awards, including Ineka Voigt, who won Google’s Australia Day Doodle, named “Stolen Dreamtime”. Check it out when you open Google today.

This morning I started to create my own personal list of special people who I would give my own “personal” Australia Day Awards to in the following four categories:

Australian of the Year …a role model in my network who inspires me

Senior Australian of the Year… a 65+ person in my life who continues to achieve and make a difference

Young Australian of the Year…an inspiring 16-30 year old who has accomplished great things and is destined for a bright future

My local Hero …a person in my community who continues to make a difference

Who would you give your 4 awards to??
I am going to make it an annual exercise and of course, let my winners know! I hope you decide to do this too. It will definitely brighten up every winner’s day tomorrow.
